Information for Authors
Articles should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document in an email attachment to editor[at]politicsandpoetics.co.uk.
Current calls for papers are available here: CfPs
Previously published articles and articles under consideration for publication elsewhere will not be considered for publication in Politics & Poetics.
All articles are subjected to blind peer-review, and should be formatted accordingly: the submitted article itself should not indicate the identity of the author (either within it or in the digital file information); a separate cover sheet should be provided stating the author’s name and affiliation (if any), as well as (optionally) a short list of suggested reviewers and anyone you would like to exclude from the review process (without guarantee that this will influence the editors’ selection). The author may include a CV, but this is not required.
Submissions should also include an article abstract of about 200 words. Articles should be between 4,000 and 10,000 words in length including footnotes. We will occasionally consider longer articles, if the subject demands such extensive treatment. Footnotes should be numbered sequentially throughout the article. Font size should be 12, in a serif font. It is not necessary for manuscripts to conform strictly to our style guidelines on initial submission (full style sheet available here). However, the author must ensure that articles meet these standards prior to publication, which we will provide should the need arise. The editors aim to inform authors of the results of their submission within two months. This may take slightly longer if articles are submitted during a holiday break.
